Important questions and answers

  1. How are the remedies taken?
1 dose = let 5 globuli dissolve under your tongue

  2. What to do if the patient is getting better?
Take another dose of the remedy, let it act.

  3. If the patient does not feel any better after a certain period of time, the remedy is unsuitable.
In this case a homoeopath has to be consulted.

  4. What to do if the remedy is effective, but if there is a decrease in effect after a short time?
If symptoms do not change (e.g. gallstone colic), dissolve 5 globuli of the remedy and drink the solution in short sips approximately every 15 minutes until you feel better.

  5. Are there any side effects?
No, if taken only once in case of an acute illness.

  6. Other methods of homoeopathic treatment?
Ideally, no other remedies should be taken at the same time, neither should aetheral oils with a penetrating odour (e.g. camphor) be applied.

  7. Can these remedies be taken by children, pregnant women and nursing mothers?
There are no restrictions in case of acute illnesses.

  8. When should self-treatment be stopped?
In case of chronic diseases, if chronic symptoms keep recurring or if the patient has been suffering from the same symptoms for several days.

  9. What about the durability of the remedies?
We still have remedies from the time of Hahnemann, which are still effective after approximately 150 years. Yet, as set by law, homoeopathic remedies have to have an expiry date.

  10. When should a remedy be administered in case of an acute illness?
As soon as possible, the sooner self-healing is stimulated, the fewer the symptoms and complications are.

  11. What about mixtures of remedies or the administration of several remedies at the same time?
The more specific the stimulation, the better the effect. Remedies can be administered one after the other, however, they should not be mixed.

  12. What about the administration of a homoeopathic remedy if somebody is taking other chemical medicaments (e.g. antihypertensives)?
In case of an acute illness no complications or interactions are to be feared, however, the remedies may not act as well as on people who do not take any medicaments.

  13. What about storage of homeopathic remedies?
The remedies should not be stored near radiant sources such as microwaves, mobile phones, display screen tubes, transformers, capacitive starters of fluorescent tubes, amongst others.
In case of frequent air travels the remedies should be replaced periodically.
